- Once the encrypted data hits our servers, it is encrypted two more times. Every field and file of information is encrypted in such a way that it can’t be deciphered or read by anyone (including us) and can’t be connected with the identity of the end user.
User Authentication
- Much like your bank and Amazon, we use dual authentication to verify that it is really you who is logging into your account. You will receive an email or text message with a special code for logging in and updating your password.
- We monitor every login for unauthorized attempts through location and device verification. You are alerted when someone tries logging in from a device or web browser we don’t recognize.
Login Protection
- Did you know it takes 10 years on average for a hacker to crack an 11-character password? That is why Me On File requires 11 characters for passwords.
- With ReCaptcha technology, Me On File protects against brute force abuse and unauthorized access by verifying a real human is trying to login rather than malicious autobots.
- For the protection of your information from prying eyes, we also implement a timer which will automatically log you off the site after 15 minutes of inactivity.
HIPPA & 24/7 Monitoring
- Me On File manages the security and privacy of your personal and health information to be compliant within the guidelines and requirements of HIPAA.
- Not only does our internal security team monitor our site for continued health and security, but we also contract with a third-party monitoring service to monitor our site continuously, ensuring we are implementing and complying with the latest security protocols.

- It is important to protect your password by not sharing it with anyone, even a trusted family member or advocate. For this reason, advocates have their own unique login, and you have full control over the sections to which they have access.
